Another World Update for 10/7/93

(sorry, this update is late because I was very busy this week, and it's
not complete because my VCR got bad reception and a lot of the show, 
crackling noises overrided the sound)

(I missed the first few minutes)

TV station- Jake & Spencer talk about Mac and the article in the paper about
 it.  They think they'll be able to take over Cory after this.
Cory's- Iris tells Amanda and Matt they should sue Jake and Spencer for
 defamation of character.  Paulina starts to leave and Iris tries to stop
 her.  Iris says Paulina can't go visit Ian.
Jail- Someone claiming to be Cass's law clerk shows up to see Ian.
Dean's- Dean is packing to go on the road.  Jenna shows up.  They talk about
 him leaving.  He says he's not sure he wants to go.  Jenna says he'll be a
 star when he gets back. He shows her a heart painted on the wall and they
 kiss.
Jail- Maggie (posing as Cass's law clerk) talks to Ian.  She says when she 
 heard Ian was in jail she had to come see him  She wishes she could've been 
 home to help him instead of rushing off after Dean. He wants to know what 
 happened. She tells him about how she flew to NY after Dean, "unwrapped
 herself like a Christmas present" and plopped herself into bed with him.
 She tells Ian that Dean laughed at her and then threw her out of bed, and
 that now they all hate her.  Ian reminds her that she got over her crush
 on him and that she'll get over her crush on Dean.  She says she hopes so.
 She asks about him and Paulina.  He doesn't want to talk about it.  She
 says she'll get him some help and make up for what she's done.  She mentions
 that her friend Celeste's dad was a mob guy and she might have connections.
Doctor's- The doctor tells Cass that he should do some research into pregnancy
 that's been published in the last few years if he's going to spout off all
 his "knowledge" about pregnant women and what they can and can't do.  She
 says Frankie should be able to work right up till her ninth month.  Cass 
 gets a call from the county jail where the guy wants to check and see if
 Maggie's legit.
D&M- Lorna putters around D&M looking nostalgic.  She has a flashback of Lucas
 dying and runs into Brett as she tries to leave the room.  Brett says she 
 came to help decorate.
Cory's- As Paulina and Iris argue about Ian, Donna shows up.  She tells Matt
 that they can't continue to ignore the story about Mac because all the other
 stations are covering it.  Matt agrees, but says they should stress that the
 story is unsubstantiated at this point.  Hank shows up to give Iris support.
 Felicia shows up and tells Matt that another station is going to air Jake
 giving the dirt on the Cory's.  She also tells Amanda that Maggie apologized
 to her.
Jail- Ian asks Maggie to tell Paulina not to come any more to visit him.  
 Cass arrives.
Jail- Cass starts ranting and raving about how Maggie (aka his law clerk)
 violated her position and mislead all the people and says she's fired.  He
 doesn't let on that she lied about working for him.  Maggie says he's being
 too hard on her, but when he threatens to have her arrested, she backs down
 and apologizes to Ian and the policeman guarding him.  Frankie says they
 should take Maggie home now.
D&M- Lorna tells Brett she'll miss D&M.  Jenna and Dean show up.  Dean says 
 that maybe they should cancel the party for Matt's sake.  Brett says Matt
 wouldn't want them to cancel the party on his account.
Cory's- Donna asks Paulina if she thinks what Jake is saying is true.  Paulina
 says she doesn't believe it.  Amanda looks for Maggie and finds out she isn't
 home.  Felicia says not to worry about Maggie. Hank tells Iris he understands
 how she feels right now and that he believes in Mac.  Hank asks if Iris still
 wants to marry him.  She says she does, but she's just under a lot of stress
 right now.  One reason is because Dennis is moving to L.A. instead of coming
 home.
TV- Jake says the truth about Mac has to come out.
Cory's- Frankie, Cass, and Maggie arrive.  
TV- Jake starts asking questions.  Did Mac have the land in San Cristobal?
 Did he sell it to a lumber company?  Did he cheat Ian's dad and Carl's dad?
 Did the Corys know about it?  Did they cover it up?  He says the board 
 members should investigate.
Cory's- Cass says all the documents will be checked for forgery and that 
 Rachel is working on the problem.  He also says not to give statements to the
 press. Paulina says she thinks it might be her fault.  Iris agrees.  Amanda
 tells Maggie she's in big trouble after Cass tells her she went to see Ian.
 Maggie tells Paulina that Ian doesn't want her to come visit anymore and that
 she should forget about him because Ian thinks he'll be doing time.  Hank 
 tells Iris he's taking her to Tops.  Felicia goes to Tops too and Maggie
 offers to help out but Felicia says no.  Matt says he's going to the party
 and invites Donna.  Maggie gets left behind.
D&M- Brett accuses Lorna of believing Jake.  Lorna says it doesn't matter if
 it's true or not, it's just bad PR for the Cory's.
TV station- Spencer says he's proud of Jake.  Jake says he won't quit until 
 the Cory's are eating dirt.
Tops- Hank asks Iris if she's more upset about Jake or Dennis.  She says she's
 happy to be engaged to him.  Hank says he wants to buy a fishing camp in
 Washington, but only if she'll come with him.
D&M- Matt tells Lorna to sign the papers that will end D&M.  Felicia says she
 thinks Maggie's really sorry.  Cass tells Frankie he ordered a disk that will
 help them name the baby.  Frankie says Morgan wrote Cass a postcard from the 
 Grand Canyon.  Cass tells Frankie not to tell Morgan about the baby.  
 Frankie says she doesn't feel well and has to go home and says she's proud
 of Dean.  Dean tells Cass he loves him and Frankie.  Cass and Frankie leave.
Jail- Paulina comes to see Ian.  She says she got his message and had to talk 
 to him about it.  Ian won't look at her.
Tops- Hank wants to know if Iris will come with him to the fishing camp.  He
 wants to make a new home for them and Tommy.  He says she can still work at
 Cory from there over phone and fax.  She says she'll think about it.  They
 go to the party.
Cory's-  Maggie cries about how sorry she is and wants to make ammends but
 doesn't know how.  The doorbell rings.  It's a driver sent by Dean to take her
 to the party.  She gets very excited and goes to change.
D&M- Felicia asks Jenna how she is.  Jenna says Dean thinks they'll grow apart
 during the tour, but that she thinks they'll stay together.  Dean thanks 
 everyone for coming and says he's sorry that D&M is closing because he's going
 on tour.  Jake shows up and asks why nobody invited him.  Matt gets angry 
 and rushes at him.
